CLUSTER 01 · CONSTRUCTION

Construction Chemicals

The four core inputs for dry-mix mortar and tile adhesive — under one European counterparty.

HPMC, redispersible polymer powder, calcium formate and PCE superplasticiser — the materials that drive workability, open time, set behaviour and bond strength in every dry-mix and tile-adhesive line.

Every grade is REACH-mappable and ships against the technical spec your formulators already write to — HV viscosity for HPMC, redispersibility for RDP, water-reduction band for PCE.

Pre-shipment QC is coordinated through third parties and the COA/SDS/TDS dossier is in your QA team's inbox before the container leaves China. DDP to your gate, one point of contact across the engagement.

CLUSTER 02 · FOOD & FEED

Food & Feed Ingredients

Regulated-grade preservatives and additives with the dossier your QA team expects.

Food-, feed- and wine-grade ingredients — sodium metabisulfite (E223) for wineries and breweries, potassium sorbate (E202) for bakery, dairy and beverage lines, plus the feed amino-acids and hydrocolloids your formulators specify by E-number.

Every SKU ships with the regulatory identifier on the label, a per-batch COA, full SDS and TDS, and the documentation pack your FSSC 22000 audit expects to see on file.

Where third-party verification is required (food contact, residue limits, allergen statements), Serica coordinates it with the producer before the lot leaves origin. Your QM team receives a complete dossier, not a pile of attachments to chase.

CLUSTER 03 · PLASTICS

Plastics Additives

Filler, carrier and wax inputs that protect masterbatch margin per kilo.

CaCO₃ masterbatch on a PE carrier, PE / OPE waxes, standard-colour masterbatch and rubber-grade zinc oxide — the additives whose loading economics decide whether a compounding line holds margin or gives it back.

Grades are matched to the carrier resin, mesh and loading-rate band your line already runs. Documentation is REACH-mapped so the new origin clears your supplier-approval workflow without a second pass.

Where a tariff or anti-dumping classification could change the landed cost (TiO₂, certain alumina grades), Serica flags it before the RFQ rather than after the invoice.

CLUSTER 04 · SILANES

Silanes & Specialty

Amino, epoxy, vinyl and alkyl silanes from one qualified origin, sealed for moisture.

The four working silane families an EU formulator typically buys — aminosilanes (APTES / AMEO) as coupling agents, epoxy silanes (GLYMO / GPTMS) as adhesion promoters, vinyl silanes (VTMO / VTEO) as crosslinkers, and alkyl / hydrophobic silanes for surface treatment — with MTES (methyltriethoxysilane) as the working methyl-silane grade most EU formulators specify by name.

Moisture-sensitive throughout. Every drum ships hermetically sealed with inner PE liner, desiccant layer and nitrogen blanket; CoA is issued per batch and REACH registration on the EU importer of record is confirmed before shipment.

Pre-shipment QC on every lot. One technical contact across the four product families.

CLUSTER 05 · DESICCANTS

Desiccants & Filtration

Molecular sieves, alumina and silica gel — one supply conversation across three applications.

3A molecular sieves for insulating glass units, 4A and 13X for industrial drying and gas separation, activated alumina for compressed-air treatment, plus standard and indicating silica gel. The full adsorbent range a single industrial buyer runs.

Documentation discipline is the differentiator: per-lot COA, particle-size and crush-strength data, plus the customs classification confirmed in writing before the container ships — so activated alumina is never mis-coded against fused-alumina anti-dumping scope.

Repeat-purchase by design. Once a grade is qualified on your line, the same packaging, the same dossier format and the same European counterparty repeat on every reorder.

QUALIFICATION METHODOLOGY · 5 AXES

How an SKU enters the live portfolio.

Every material is scored qualitatively across five axes before it advances. The radial below is the framework — per-SKU scores are held in the buyer-side dossier.

  • 01
    Supplier Quality
Producer track record · audit posture · production stability.
  • 02
    Compliance Posture
REACH posture · TARIC · NSF / food gates · documentation depth.
  • 03
    Logistics Fit
DG class · packaging integrity · multi-modal feasibility.
  • 04
    Commercial Leverage
Spread durability · cluster volume · repeat-purchase profile.
  • 05
    Strategic Fit
Cluster alignment · ICP overlap · monitoring discipline.
