What it does
Silica gel — amorphous SiO₂ with controlled pore structure used as a desiccant, adsorbent and matting agent. Standard white grade for general drying; blue / orange indicating grades change colour at saturation.

- Packaging and shipping desiccant (sachets, bulk)
- Compressed-air drying (regenerative beds)
- Adsorbent in chromatography
- Matting agent in industrial coatings
