What it does
Vinyl silanes (VTMO / VTEO) — coupling agents with a vinyl functional group, used as crosslinkers in polyethylene wire-and-cable insulation, and as adhesion promoters where the organic phase is unsaturated.
Typical applications
- Silane crosslinking of PE for wire and cable (Sioplas / Monosil process)
- Mineral-filler treatment for unsaturated polyester composites
- Adhesion promoter for peroxide-cured rubbers
