What it does
Wollastonite — naturally acicular (needle-shaped) calcium metasilicate. Used as a functional filler in plastics, coatings, ceramics and friction materials where reinforcement, low oil-absorption and low moisture content matter.
Typical applications
- Reinforcement in PA, PBT and PP engineering plastics
- Functional filler in primers and industrial paints
- Ceramic body and glaze (frit replacement)
- Brake-lining and friction-material formulations
