What it does
Methyltriethoxysilane (MTES) — a monofunctional alkyl silane used as a co-active in silane-siloxane hydrophobic blends and sol-gel systems, and as a surface modifier for mineral fillers and pigments. Not used as a standalone impregnation active in Class W systems; typically pairs with OCTEO / OTES for concrete and masonry protection.
